Permission Not Granted

No school! No school today! I love it, my first official snow day in college was today and I sat around and did nothing. Well I did get my Meteorology homework done and turned in online and traveled through mountains of snow, slush and ice with Allison to get Chinese for dinner which resulted in us watching Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix. She's still making videos for our friends as we speak and has requested me to put on my headphones... music unappreciater... just because she likes disney and bubble gum style of songs and I'm listening to Paramore but oh well. I'll just jam and dance causing her to stare at me in the process.

I also got a package in the mail today from my mommy and dad. I fell a few days ago down not one set of stairs but two sets in the matter of three hours. I'm pretty sure I pulled my left arm, I have a huge bruise on my right knee and the left one is completely red. So my mommy sent me a bag of Hershey kisses along with 40 dollars in a card saying that she sent the kisses for my boo-boos. I love my parents when they actually take the time and acknowledge me and not my spoiled sister. I'm not their image of a perfect daughter and she is, but that's how life works I guess.

Anyways, I got the package after we got chinese today and I was grinning ear to ear as I carried it upstairs as Allison just shook her head at me. I just couldn't wait to open it when I got in the room, completely neglecting the sweet and sour chicken and fried rice that I got along with Allison's nasty choice of walnut chicken and fried rice. Ick. But I had to call my mom and thank her cause thats honestly the highlight of my day and no matter how I'm feeling it makes my day, even if it's a card or a letter to say hello. It's like there's sign that life exists outside of the boundaries of campus and they want to contact me out of the 35,000 + people here. We're seriously outcasts or something and never caught up with the news off campus. So it's like Christmas in comparison for us. We're even happy if someone we know gets something in the mail. The joys of college life... pathetic I know.

The only thing else that's bothering me right now is that one my roommates, Jewel invited like 3 people over tonight. The rule is they have to be gone by 11 and it's 10:30 right now at least. The whole common room is trashed with food, pop bottles and they were making out on our couch... so right now I'm really pissed off. First off, she asked me right when she walks in the door as she was gone until 7 pm, "My friends are coming over in 20, do you care if we watch movies on your tv in the common room? The dorm is too small for us to stay in there and I don't want to bother Chelsea."

What am I going to say to that? She already invited them, Allison and I watch shows every night around 8-11, she has a tv in her room and it was just rude to ask when they're coming without notice. So I just shrug and go into my room as the two of us rant about this. So around 8 we go into her room to watch sadly American Idol and she has a cow. Seriously? You're going to bitch as you just invited 3 people over that I don't know and watch my tv and use my playstation to watch the movie? I don't think so. Chelsea actually stood up for us saying, "I invited them to watch it. I'm watching it too." (Actually she was doing History hw.) So she sighs and storms off. But they're still here and it's really make us mad. I'm about to kick them out cause I'm just sick of them coming over all the time.

Afterwards, I'm going to have some homemade cheesecake, rp with Nina some more and then listen to Womanizer extremely loud to annoy Allison as she hates short people and I'm one them. You have to love roomies... *sighs*

Quirks

So today is tuesday and normal college kids would have class right? Well I did and didn't today. Confused? So am I. See, University of Cincinnati sends emails out to the students when we have delays or if school is cancelled all day. Of course I'm too lazy check for this and instead I look over to see if my roommate Allison is gone. She's sound asleep in her bed which makes me grin to myself. Not because of her sleeping that would be creepy. She normally has a class at this time and she never skips class resulting in my mind we don't have school today.

At this time, I roll over and fall back to sleep seeing as I have the flu and it's about eight in the morning. The next time I see my clock it says 1:09, which sent me into a panic instantly. I have a Geology Lab that started at 1. Frantically, I jump out of bed, get dressed, take my medicine, throw my hair that I didn't brush into a clip, throw on my jacket, scarf, boots and gloves and run out the door all the way for ten minutes to my class.

Walking in around 1:37, I glance around only seeing my lab partner and the Teacher Assistant. This actually worried me for some reason until they turn around to smile at me. That just made me feel a little creeped out. I sat down and starting doing the lab and finished it until Heather the lab partner asked, ''I already finished the lab and wrote our names on it...'' Thanks Heather for telling me this after three hours of lab. -_-

Now it's about 11 pm on the dot and my roommate is making videos for all of our friends with random Disney songs and it's odd that I find this normal and not strange at all. I guess that's what happens after two years of being roomies and dealing with each others crazy perks or I guess quirks. Most people are frightened by our behavior as we have coloring pages of Hello Kitty, Alice in Wonderland, Giraffes (Andre, Steve and Henry), Sam the Thanksgiving Man, Laundry picture and The Little Mermaid on the door of our bedroom. I think it's time for me to stop rambling and just watch Allison make more videos for our facebook friends, start eating my yogurt and refreshing my email page every five seconds in hopes that school is cancelled until 10 again so I don't have to take my math quiz.
